Three teams from Milton Keynes University Hospital visited Thornton on Tuesday 10th March and delivered a fabulous event showcasing their respective departments.
Patient Experience, Pharmacy and Simulation all complemented each other perfectly. It was interesting to hear about new initiatives to ensure the optimum patient experience, as well as technological developments in Pharmacy, such as the use of robots to deliver drugs to wards.
The Simulation Team, who work with Year 3 and 4 Medical Students from Buckingham University talked about the different scenarios they create and the robots they use.
Over 55 Thornton students attended and many learnt about new job roles and opportunities not previously considered.
