Girls join the Preparatory Department from Year 3, at age seven. Thornton offers girls the opportunity to aspire and achieve in a caring environment. Staf support and encourage each individual, celebrating their talents and nurturing their character, enabling them to thrive and become the veery best version of themselves.
The combination of exceptional care with inspirational and innovative teaching ensures that a Thornton Prep education is special. Innovative teaching methods adopted include the mastery approach, a Creative Curriculum, which combines Arts and Humanities through topic teaching in Years 3 and 4 and specialist Art and DT lessons in Years 5 and 6.
