Boarding at Thornton College offers a vibrant and enriching programme of activities designed to foster confidence, independence and a strong sense of community beyond the school day. Our boarders enjoy a wide range of social, creative and recreational opportunities that complement academic life and support personal growth in a warm, home‑from‑home environment. Here are the activities from the past 6 terms, showcasing the breadth and variety of experiences available to our pupils. Further details and highlights can also be found in the boarding newsletters sent regularly to parents, which are attached below.
Boarding Council
Boarders can represent their age group on the Boarding council which is made up of 7 girls representing all year groups and both termly and weekly boarders. The girls meet regularly with boarding staff to suggest activities and menu choices and to discuss planned events.
