Caitlin Brennan from InvestIn delivered a presentation to our Year 10 and 11s on ‘Your Future Career’.
Caitlin introduced the idea of Career Clusters, focusing on groups of careers that are linked and acquiring skills that will be transferable across the cluster.
A wealth of extra curricular activities are available at Thornton, and Caitlin spoke about the importance of building a portfolio of interests from which students can then evidence skills such as team work, problem solving and communication. These will not only greatly enhance a university application but also make students a much better fit for employers.
