We are thrilled to launch our Boarding Academic Scholarship for September 2024 and 2025 entry into Years 10 and 12.
This scholarship opportunity is for highly academic students who will be weekly or termly boarders for the GCSE / A Level programme years.
To qualify for this scholarship your daughter will need to meet the following criteria:
- She does not currently attend Thornton College and is therefore an international or national external applicant
- She will commit to study at Thornton for the duration of her GCSE (Years 10 & 11) / A Level (Years 12 & 13) programme
- She will join us as a weekly or termly boarder and continue to board for the duration of her scholarship funded study
- For Year 12 entry she is predicted and achieves a minimum of 56 points across the top 8 GCSE results (this would equate to 8 grade 7 results or equivalent). She must achieve at least a grade 7 in each of the subjects she wishes to study for A level and a minimum of grade 5 in both Maths and English. For international students who study courses equivalent to GCSE we will require school report grades and a high academic baseline test result.
- For Year 10 entry we will require excellent achievement reports from her current school and a high academic baseline test result.
This scholarship opportunity is open to external national and international students and successful students will receive up to 50% scholarship funding on tuition and boarding fees.
