The last two weeks have seen teams of Thornton students from Years 10, 11 and 12 taking part in debates with St Columba’s.
The motion on each occasion was: ‘The Government should limit gaming for under 18s’.
Students from both schools worked together to research and present arguments within a tight time frame. This Debates Series gives a great opportunity to develop collaborative and presentation skills and, on both occasions, our girls led the way with strong points and questioning.
The Against Team won twice, but the competition was close!
