Many of our students are interested in careers relating to Art and Design, so we were delighted to welcome Emma Try from Northstar to deliver our Spotlight Careers Talk this week.
Emma shared information about her role as a Graphic Designer and the huge variety of work involved in a busy agency. Being an ‘ideas person’ is key to success in this sector, and Emma emphasised that the small ideas are just as valuable as bigger ones.
It was also useful to hear about the benefits from taking a year in industry when at university, as this gave Emma real insight and helped her polarise her direction after graduation.
Emma’s passion for her job shone through and we are very grateful to her for giving up her time.
