This week’s Spotlight Careers Talk was led by Celia Forbes, a Junior PR Officer for the Kennel Club.
Celia was a high achiever at school and decided to go the Apprenticeship route rather than attend university. After completing her Level 4 Apprenticeship, she started work for the Kennel Club in a role she absolutely loves!
Celia gave students a whistle-stop tour of her working life which, in addition to writing press releases and media networking, also includes organising events such as Crufts.
PR roles are available in a range of sectors including charity, technology, sports and fashion. As so many of her friends are just leaving university and looking at the job market, it was inspiring to hear Celia’s confidence and commitment to her role.
