A group of budding lawyers from Years 11 and 12 attended a fabulous LawFest event at Oakgrove School, alongside students from a wide range of Milton Keynes schools.
The event was hosted by the University of Buckingham and leading law firms, including Dentons, Shoosmiths, Machins and Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. Students were given an insight into the different types of practice and the many varied ways to access the sector. This included the apprenticeship route and both apprentices and graduates shared their stories.
Our students took part in break out sessions hosted by the companies, listened to talks and had the opportunity to ask questions in small groups.
There was much food for thought and the students came away with a clearer idea about the profession and the pathways that lead to the sought after training contracts.
