All students are charged for day tuition fees and compulsory school lunch. Fees exclude any school extras such as bus transport, wrap around care and exam fees etc.
Boarding fees include term time accommodation, meals in boarding and tuition, textbooks and laundry except for the occasional dry cleaning. There is an additional charge in relation to any weekend activities.
Fees are due in full on or before the first day of each term by direct bank transfer or cheque. School bank details are shown on termly invoices.

If you would like to pay your fees monthly, you can use a third party provider such as the School Fee Plan company; other alternative companies do exist.

Second daughter – 5% discount on the termly fee of the youngest child
Third Daughter – 10% discount on the termly fee of the youngest child
From September 2025, we offer a discount of up to 20% on our school day and boarding fees for children of serving members of the regular Armed Forces and those who work for the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office, who are eligible for a CEA payment. The level of discount will depend on qualification for the CEA payment. For example, if CEA covers 90% of your school fees, the school offers a 10% forces discount. If CEA covers 85% of your school fees, the school will offer a 15% forces discount, and so on, up to a maximum of 20% forces discount. If CEA covers 100%, no forces discount will apply.
To clarify further, there is no forces discount available if the parent is not eligible for a CEA payment, as the purpose of the forces discount is to top up the CEA payment, with a maximum top-up of 20% from the school from September 2025.
The school offers a Fees In Advance Scheme to all those who wish to pay fees in advance (minimum of 3 consecutive academic terms) and claim an annual discount of 2.5%. You will need you to sign the Fees In Advance Scheme documentation before we can offer any discount. Details are available from the Finance Manager at finance@thorntoncollege.com
