National Careers Week: Senior School Spotlight Talks

Posted: 5th March 2025

Our Senior School classes were treated to an array of brilliant speakers to mark National Careers Week.

Sectors included International Development, Aviation, Politics, Publishing, Navy, Construction, Space Science, Charity Sector, Data and Business.

Nat Gibbings from Aiimi spoke to the Year 13s about employability skills and gave some great advice to students as they begin to focus on their pathways after school. The Year 11 year group were privileged to hear Jake Rigg talk about his current role advising Ed Milliband and Sir Keir Starmer on clean energy. Previous jobs have included speech writing for President Obama!

All our students were buzzing afterwards and advice common to all talks included seizing opportunities, career choices you make do not define the rest of your life and enjoy the journey.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported this event.
