Year 11: Next Steps

Posted: 10th October 2023

Thornton College

As part of their PHSE module, Next Steps, Year 11 have welcomed a number of speakers. This includes current Year 12 students, sharing their experience of vocational qualifications and why they chose them and old girls who have just graduated from university. We were recently joined by Lee, the Apprenticeship Manager from Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Lee highlighted the wide ranging number of apprenticeships available at the Trust, including clinical and non clinical roles. It was fascinating to hear about the different educational providers they work with, for example Radiography apprentices study at Exeter University. Over the past couple of weeks, our students have been able to ask questions about sixth form pathways, university choices and the increasingly popular apprenticeship route.
