Stuart Mulligan gave students a whistle-stop tour round the fantastic different job roles offered in the RAF. With a disciplined, trained force of 32,000 people the UK Government can call on, the RAF is currently engaged in five missions on four continents in 22 countries. Stuart has done 27 years of service, is a Cyberspace Communications Specialist and has been deployed in 25 different countries.

Our Year 11 students are currently looking at different company core values, the RAF’s being Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. Students are taught how to align their skill set with companies in sectors they are interested in working in. The RAF offer a wide range of apprenticeships in specialisms such as Intelligence Officer, Weapons Systems Officer, Linguistics Officer and Regiment Officer, all of which can be accessed with two A levels at Grade C and above.

Students interested in Law and Engineering within the RAF can apply for scholarships after they have received their university offers via the University Air Squadron.

With generous pay and conditions alongside travel and sport opportunities, the RAF has much to offer!
