Thornton’s fantastic careers event on Tuesday 7th May gave students from Years 6-13 the opportunity to talk to healthcare professionals and clinicians about their job roles and pathways. Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Radiographers from Bedford Hospital answered questions and provided further information about work in the NHS.
Many of our students take part in the Bedford Health and Care Academy programme, and representatives were on hand to explain more about it.
The Apprenticeships Manager from Milton Keynes Hospital also attended and showcased the variety of different ways there are to reach goals of working in the medical sector.
