Careers Event: Camilla Tominey

Posted: 11th March 2022

Camilla Tominey

It was a privilege to welcome Camilla Tominey, Associate Editor of the Telegraph, to Thornton to talk to students about her career. This has included print journalism, at The Sunday Express and The Daily Telegraph, broadcast journalism on Politics Live, Question Time, This Morning and  LBC Radio.

Camilla studied Law at university and began her career writing for a local paper. It was fascinating to hear about her scoops relating to both royal and political articles and the importance of always checking multiple sources. Students also had a sneak preview of stories Camilla is currently working on for Saturday’s paper!

The variety of the role of a journalist and the picture that Camilla painted of the fast moving environment was exciting and inspiring.
