We were thrilled to welcome Billy Taylor and Naomi Day to our Careers in Theatre event. Billy runs several theatre groups and is currently studying at Rose Bruford College and Naomi is a costume designer.
It was inspirational to hear their passion for their respective pathways and to see how important it is to have that drive and commitment.
Naomi showed us examples of her fantastic mood boards that she created as part of her degree and told us about her route into university, which was via the BTEC in Art and Design that we offer at Thornton.
Billy suggested using every resource available and recommended watching all the great theatre that is available online at the moment.
We were joined by students from a local school for this event and hopefully everyone took away some tips about how to start building a portfolio to support a career in the arts.
