A fantastic panel of clinicians joined students for our inaugural virtual careers event. We hosted speakers from dentistry, nursing, medicine, midwifery and physiotherapy. It was fascinating to hear the different pathways followed into the professions and the opportunities in terms of different types of practice, working hours and travel.
The commitment to vocation was inspiring and the skill that all five practitioners identified as being the most important, was empathy. Alongside caring for others and creating a sense of love and community, this is a something we all aspire to at Thornton.
