This week we welcomed back an Old Thorntonian, Kierat Ranautta-Sambhi to share her career journey.
Kierat currently works for Albany Associates, supporting governments, charities and communities in areas of conflict around the world. Her role focuses on preventing and countering violent extremism in countries that include Somalia, Mozambique, Syria, Iraq and Chad.
Students learnt how Kierat manages and coordinates programmes which are designed to reach out and engage with local partners. She studied Law with French at Birmingham University, followed by a Masters in International Peace and Security at Kings, London. It was a privilege to hear Kierat’s passion for a job that has such a powerful impact on people’s lives.
