Hot on the heels of an animated Year 10 Debate last week with St Columba?s College, a team of Year 11s delivered strong arguments for and against the motion: ‘This House believes that school exams should be abolished’.
After compelling arguments from both teams, the UK?s examining bodies will be interested to know that the motion was carried!
We are thrilled to have initiated a Debate Series with St Columba?s College which is working brilliantly, virtually.
Hosted across both schools? lunch hours, there is no teaching time lost and the students take ownership for their research and independent working as they prepare their points. It?s a great opportunity to work collaboratively with the boys and wonderful to see how the students have developed their debating and presentation skills over the year.
