Graduate Resident Tutor (Prep – Humanities)
We are looking to appoint a Graduate Resident Tutor from September 2022, who will also support boarding students in our Boarding House. This is an exciting opportunity for an English graduate with an interest in teaching to gain experience in this forward-thinking and friendly school. Preference will be given to those with an ability to teach Humanities subjects at Upper Prep. level and the position will also involve teaching Prep. Library lessons.
The position would suit those who might also have an interest in a career in Boarding. For the successful applicant there will be opportunities to help with activities, according to their interests. This may be part of a timetabled lesson or at evenings/weekends. An ability and willingness to teach Games is also desirable.
Single accommodation, with private bathroom, will be provided within the Boarding House. Accommodation for the period and food during term time only are provided free of charge. The post requires a full commitment during term time when the boarders are at school but there are substantial holidays at Christmas and Easter as well as a half term week in each term, with a break of two weeks in the Michaelmas Term. There is also some time off during most days. Duties will include assisting with wake ups and bedtimes, assisting with daytime break and lunch duties, organising and running activities and attending outings.
A clean driving licence and ability to drive is essential and a willingness to undertake minibus training.
Salary: £16,770-£18,333, dependent on experience.
