Whether you arrive in Year 12 with clear aspirations for the future or are still making up your mind, Thornton Sixth Formers are supported and challenged to discover and achieve their personal goals.
Sixth Form students have privileged access to a range of study spaces, including two Common Rooms and a more formal Resource Room. They also have use of the Sixth Form Café to ensure their hard work is well-fuelled! Developing independence is at the heart of Sixth Form life so that students are ready for the step to university or the world of work. The Sixth Form team is on hand to offer advice, support and guidance whenever needed.
Beyond the range of A Levels and alternative academic qualifications on offer, Thornton Sixth Formers have a wealth of opportunities for extra-curricular and super-curricular pursuits. As the top of the school, they also have the opportunity to apply for highly-sought-after student leadership positions and to become part of their year’s Head Girl Team.
