School Trip

In Science, Year 5 are currently studying the topic Earth, Sun and Moon.  Mrs Walker brings lessons alive and in order to make this topic as exciting as possible, she arranged for the girls to visit the National Space Centre in Leicester

The girls saw real rockets and visited the Centre’s many interactive hands-on galleries which contained everything they needed to know including: ‘How stars are formed’; ‘What is gravity like on other planets?’ and ‘What is it like to be an astronaut?’ They also visited the Centre’s planetarium and took part in a workshop on ‘space cookery’ which they thoroughly enjoyed.
