Over the weekend, 21 of the girls who take LAMDA lessons participated in the 50th Anniversary of Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts.
The girls were entered to recite a poem, read a piece of prose or perform an acting piece in front of an audience and an adjudicator. With competition coming from other schools and performing groups, all the girls did fabulously well.
Thornton walked away with half of the girls winning either bronze, silver or gold medals.
It was a tremendous opportunity for the girls to practise performing in front of an audience and in a different environment, also enabling them to build confidence and strengthen their performance skills.
Congratulations and well done to all who took part.
