Year 10 GCSE Psychology students are currently learning about the use of drug therapy to treat depression.
The girls needed an understanding of the structure of the synapse, the point at which a nervous impulse passes from one neuron to another, and the process of synaptic transmission.
In the first part of the lesson they were taught about the structure and the processes involved, with their final task to produce a 3D model of synaptic transmission in action, using Play-Doh.
With only ten minutes on the clock, the girls went to work. Congratulations to Evie S and Zoe who were judged to have created the most accurate model!
