Year 10 Art, Textiles and Photography students visited the Ashmolean museum in Oxford this week.
The purpose of the trip was to explore Art and artefacts, learning how to analyse Art, and also gain resources that students can use to complement their coursework modules.
The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford’s museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683. The museum has world famous collections ranging from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art, telling human stories across cultures and across time.
There was an abundance of exhibits for the girls to study and photograph. Shutters on photography students’ cameras were on overdrive!
