Red Wednesday is a global initiative to promote freedom of religion across the world. Westminster Cathedral and Westminster Abbey were lit in red today and we all wore red to school - and not in the form of our scarlet blazers!
We also used this opportunity to reflect on those less fortunate than us, in particular the many families in Aleppo that Sister Annie, a Jesus and Mary Sister who works from the J & M convent in Syria helps. We all donated at least £1.00 today which will be given to Sister Annie to purchase food, electricity vouchers, fuel for fires and warm clothes and blankets for the many children she looks out for.
Thank you to all the children and staff who supported this venture and to the parents who made donations.
