As the sun set on Thornton the 1st Thornton Brownies wrapped up warm, picked up their torches and ventured out into the school's woodland in search of excitement!
They were not disappointed. Within moments a rustle in the trees alerted them to a family of pheasants perched above them. They all shone a light above which resulted in a very noisy departure! As the Brownies crept into the walled garden they became more aware of all the creatures they could spot by torchlight and soon became fascinated by the night-time treasures. They were thrilled to see bats towards the end of the walk and equally delighted to find that hot-dogs were waiting for them back in school!
