Science Club can get really messy – which is what happened when Miss Melluish and Dr Connall decided to have some fun with the girls and a special solution.  In these photos the girls were making a non-Newtonian* fluid with custard powder and water. It behaves like a liquid when it’s not under pressure or stress and like a solid when pressure is applied.  Amazing stuff!

*Learning point for those not in Science Club that day - a non-Newtonian fluid is a fluid that does not follow Newton's Law of Viscosity!
