Interactive exhibition allows Year 8s to present their hobbies.
In the Senior School, students from Year 7 to Year 10 work towards a nationally-approved ASDAN qualification in their weekly PHSEE lessons to help them improve their communication and teamwork skills.
When they reach Year 8, their focus turns specifically to personal and social development as they prepare to meet the criteria for a Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (COPE) Level 2 award within the ASDAN framework.
Over the past few weeks, the year group has been working hard to prepare an exhibition about their favourite pastimes and hobbies. Today, they invited the rest of the school to visit their stands in the Sports Hall and get hands-on with the interactive quizzes and displays they had prepared in advance.
The Year 8s shared their love of music, films, sport and baking, among many others, as they encouraged visitors to take part in tasting tests, decorate cupcakes, learn dance moves and try their hand at sports challenges to really bring the different hobbies to life.
