Pre-Prep students enjoy pet-themed role-play.
The girls in Reception class have now transformed their role-play corner into a veterinary practice and they have been industrially writing appointments and bandaging their pretend pet animals in free play sessions this week.
They have fully embraced the new theme – pets that live outside – in all day-to-day activities. The girls have finished painting the clay animals they made last week with black and ginger cats, plus rabbits and turtles among them.
They have coloured pretty paper doves and decorated them with feathers, ready to hang on the tree in the reception of the Claudine Thévenet wing.
They have also loved making complex animal homes out of Stickle Bricks, some with lots of outhouses and others with runs for rabbits and supplies of pretend food.
