Year 2s write reports on all they have learnt about the world’s snakes.
While learning about animals in the natural world, Year 2 girls have been uncovering some exciting facts about snakes.
The students recalled interesting details about why these reptiles shed their skins, why they sometimes have milky-white eyes, and how a baby snake's egg tooth falls out as soon as it is born.
Following the discussion, Mrs Mathieson set each pupil the task of putting together a written report to pull all these details together. She asked them to write in paragraphs with neat joined-up writing and to use as many imaginative adjectives as they could. Their finished pieces she would then assess to see just how far they have progressed during their time in Pre-Prep.
