Dentists visit school to educate Year 3s on how to take care of their teeth.
The Prep children welcomed visitors from the Brooklands Dental Clinic in Broughton by flashing their best white smiles. The girls have been working through a Science topic on teeth and healthy eating and were keen to learn more about how to keep their teeth in tip-top condition.
Our visitors asked students how frequently and for how long they should be brushing their teeth every day and, with their eyes shut, the girls gauged when a two-minute timer was about to end. It felt like a very long time!
The girls worked through a fact sheet on teeth. They also had large outlines of teeth to decorate around which they wrote what would make a tooth happy (water and thorough brushing for example) and the things like sweets that would make it sad.
