Year 2s harvest their summertime crop, ready to plant spring daffodils.
Year 2 students have been tidying up the trough outside their classroom, readying it for winter flowers and springtime bulbs.
The girls were thrilled to discover a handful of cherry tomatoes and some spring onions still thriving in their little garden plot when they stepped outside this week to give it an overhaul. They also identified strawberry plants and runner beans while learning about how nutrients in the soil feed these plants.
The girls picked pretty flowers to take home before then planting daffodil bulbs which they’ll observe over the forthcoming months.
