Twenty three Year 11 girls are carrying leaderboards at The Ricoh Women’s British Open Championship at Woburn this week.
It's an early start for the girls and Mrs Storey and Mrs Scott and they are enjoying every moment of it! The picture shows the girls receiving their briefing this morning on how and where they carry the leaderboards. They are doing an amazing job.
It is a four-day event, finishing Sunday. The majority have never played golf before but, being Thornton girls, they are all enthusiastic about trying something new and finding out what golf is all about. Mrs Storey is a real pro at golf herself with a handicap of 10! No doubt they will all be picking up some tips over the next few days. Look out for them on the BBC. Who knows, maybe the next Charley Hull is among us!
