Whole school attends special Mass to celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.
It was a double celebration on 29 June when the Thornton community came together to not only celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul but to also witness the first school communion for six Year 3 and Year 4 girls.
Looking gorgeous in white, Ella B, Jessica V, Maia V, Phoebe K, Abigail R and Honor H who have recently taken First Communion led the offertory procession and were the first pupils to receive the bread, wine and water.
Year 6 students also took masterful ownership of the reading and bidding prayers in what will be their last Mass in the Prep School. They offered books as a symbol of all they have learnt, a hat as a symbol of their uniform, and a water jug and skipping rope as symbols of their duties at lunchtime in the dining hall and in the playground.
