Reception girls make their own tasty Italian treat.

Following their recent culinary journeys to Zimbabwe to eat traditional chicken stew and to India to sample curry and yoghurt cake, Mrs Stratford and her Reception girls travelled to Italy this week.

The country’s best-loved dish – pizza – they discovered was on the menu and they enjoyed learning how to make it as part of their ongoing topic on food from around the world.

Working as a team, the girls made the dough base with dried yeast, salt and flour and they soon got to grips with how best to slice mushrooms and green peppers for a tasty topping.

They can’t wait for Activities Week to find out which country they’ll next be visiting.
