Year 6 and 7 girls are being given an amazing opportunity to be part of the touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat when it visits Milton Keynes Theatre in June.

Myra Tiffin Performing Arts School in Stony Stratford has approached Miss Marum, once herself a student there, to recruit 15 to 20 singers as cast members. They will get to star alongside X-Factor winner Joe McElderry, who will be playing the lead role.

‘We are the only school that’s been chosen to fill these roles,’ says Miss Marum, ‘and one of the reasons is that Thornton is so well-known for its professionalism and high standards of behaviour.’

More details of such an exciting collaboration will be announced in a special assembly in the next couple of weeks. The chosen girls will have to commit to rehearsals after school in Stony Stratford and be available for performances the week of 27 June.
