We are thrilled to introduce a bumper crop of co-curricular activities this term.
The addition of a raft of brand-new lunchtime and after-school co-curricular activities brings the number of clubs and societies at Thornton to the highest in its 99-year history. In a coup for the school, Enrichment Curriculum Co-ordinator Mr Paris has dug deep into Thornton’s talent pool and recruited both staff and pupils’ families to showcase and share their specific skills.
As a result, we are introducing Russian, Japanese, Money Management, Digital Photography, Brain Challenge, Accountancy, Confidence Building, Bread Making and Brownies to the co-curricular mix.
These lunchtime and after-school clubs are especially designed to enrich students’ all-round education and arm them with new skills. From next week, they will be running alongside our long-standing and popular debating, sports, art and craft and music clubs.
