Year 4 pupil donates hair to children’s cancer charity.
A big shout out to Eva S in Year 4 who, to date, has single-handedly raised £650 for one of Milton Keynes Hospital’s charities.
During the summer, the eight-year-old received life-saving treatment in the local hospital and subsequently vowed to raise money for sick children to say thank you. In a fund-raising initiative, she has been collecting sponsors to have almost 13 inches cut off her hair.
Eva is giving her shorn locks to Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to boys and girls in the UK and Ireland who have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. ‘My mummy says my hair is so soft she will miss it, but she’s glad it will help make a lovely soft wig,’ Eva says. ‘My sponsorship money will be going to support the wonderful work done at Milton Keynes Hospital.’
