Maya J in Year 10 had the opportunity of a lifetime last week when she was invited to attend the Royal Premiere of new James Bond film, Spectre.
Maya is a Young Reporter for Into Film. She went through a rigorous application and training process to be selected as one of only 35 12-19-year-olds in the country to join the film education charity’s annual Young Reporters Programme.
A huge perk of the job was interviewing 007 actor Daniel Craig and the cast from the new Bond movie on the red carpet outside London’s Royal Albert Hall. ‘Before the night, representatives from Into Film showed me press junkets and red carpet events and I previewed the film before working on questions and my reporting skills,’ Maya says. ‘The red carpet was so long – it stretched from the Royal College of Music to the Royal Albert Hall. This was my first big gig and so exiting; Daniel Craig was really friendly and approachable.’
Maya enjoys films based on dystopian literature, and is now looking forward to the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 later this month.
