Year 5 and 6 are having an amazing time at PGL this week.
We are halfway through what has been a very exciting and action packed week so far. Once we arrived at the site and settled in the first evening activity was a campfire which the girls absolutely loved - lots of singing and storytelling. Due to over-excited girls, sleep was a long time coming resulting in slightly tired girls (and teachers!) the following morning. Not to be deterred, everyone set off in their groups for a day of challenging - and often very wet activities! It was a scorching hot day so the kayaking was a welcome relief for most of the girls. The girls are becoming experts at applying sun cream and hydration techniques! Other groups tackled high ropes, problem solving, aeroball and quad biking. The girls are eating well and are making the most of everything available! Following a busy day the evening activity ended at 8.30pm and all of the girls were in bed, asleep, by 9pm. Mrs Darwin is awarding points for tidy bedrooms; the competition is hot!
Today, the girls are exploring the entire site in their groups, searching for flags from around the world to add to their 'Passport.' This will be followed by a visit to the shop, Space Hopper football, dodgeball and human table football! After a tasty lunch of burgers, it is back to the more exhilarating activities: abseiling, problem solving, giant swing and the zip wire. Everyone is looking forward to our evening activity, a massive team building endeavour, building our own rafts and sailing them on the lake; once again this could be a very wet evening!
