Our Year 9s have been working towards their St John Ambulance Young Lifesaver Award.

Learning the vital skills of first aid is one of the challenges the Senior school tackles as part of the girls’ progression towards the Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (COPE) Level 2 award, which is completed in PSHE lessons.
They have learnt how to administer CPR, how to bandage wounds and broken limbs, when it is necessary to call 999, and how to put an injured person into the recovery position. With this knowledge, they are better equipped to make a difference between life and death in an emergency situation.
