The boarders have just been out on a bat walk with members of the North Bucks Bat Society.  The school grounds are perfect for a bit of night time nature watching and the walk began with an investigation of the belfry area of the church.

Long eared bats were discovered but the extent of the colony has yet to be investigated. Students were supplied with bat detectors for a walk around the grounds. Bats appeared plentiful, although rarely seen, flying amongst the trees.

Several species were identified from the frequency of their calls.
