Over one hundred former pupils and staff came back to school for a special reunion on Sunday Afternoon. Leavers from 1962, 1972, 1982, 1992 and 2002 gathered together to meet old friends and catch up on what they have all been doing since they left.
For a few, this was their first time back in school for 50 years!
It was a wonderful afternoon. Guests enjoyed a welcome reception in Central Hall and Afternoon Tea and were impressed by how much the school has improved since they left. Since the 2002 girls left there have been two new junior school classroom developments built, a new science department and an expressive arts suite - image the changes since 1962!
Ex-staff also attended which was lovely for the girls as well as for the staff who hadn't necessarily seen each other for many years. Sister Genevieve joined us from Felixstowe. She was Headmistress in the 70’s and 80’s and was warmly remembered by her pupils.
Next May we will welcome back the leavers from 1943, 1953, 1963, 1973, 1983, 1993 and 2003. If you left in these years or know someone who did, get in touch so that we can send out an invitation.
