We are a Christian School and work exceptionally hard to maintain our caring, family atmosphere. There is a warmth and friendliness about Thornton which you will feel, should you visit us.
In the Junior School, girls are cared for predominantly by their class teacher and our teaching assistants. Sister Mary-James, Head of the Junior School, ensures that every girl who joins us feels welcomed, and quickly settles in and makes friends.
Every Junior School class has Senior School prefects. The prefects support the girls, assist with supervision and provide a listening ear.
If a girl feels unwell she can go and spend time in our School Surgery with our School Matron, Mrs Wheatle. Mrs Wheatle also looks after and administers any medication girls are taking.
During break and lunchtimes, girls are supervised by teachers and our playground supervisors. |
